The U.S. Department of Defense has signed seven-year agreements with General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin, aimed at tripling the production capacity of advanced Patriot interceptors and quadrupling the production capacity of the THAAD interceptors. This move is being carried out to increase missile defense capacity and speed up the delivery of these weapons.
