🔶 Sharp Rise in the Risk of Wildfires in Germany

The German Meteorological Service (DWD) warned of a sharp increase in the risk of wildfires in large parts of the country and said it is expected that today, Sunday, July 12 (21 Tir), the highest level of warning will become active in several regions.

According to the meteorological service, the south-western areas of Germany, as well as the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, are more exposed to this risk than other parts.

In response to the increasing climate threat, German fire services have called on the government to invest more in supplying vehicles and advanced technologies.

At the same time as the drought crisis in Germany, parts of southern Europe are also struggling with devastating wildfires. Rescue forces in southern Spain have been battling a massive blaze in the province of Almería since Thursday.

Local officials said that yesterday, as the flames spread, several towns and villages were forced to evacuate. During the escape from these wildfires, at least 12 people lost their lives, which officials said most of the victims were tourists.
