🔸Shaker Bouri, an Iranian comedian, announced through a video posted on his Instagram account that he has been handed a sentence of more than 13 months of discretionary imprisonment.
🔸According to this comedian, he has 20 days to appeal against this ruling.
🔸Based on a ruling issued by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court Two in Abadan and served to this citizen, he was sentenced to 13 months and 20 days of discretionary imprisonment for the charge of “publishing falsehoods with intent to harm others through computer systems,” and for the charge of “insulting a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly” he was sentenced to pay 45 million rials in fines.
🔸Bouri had previously said in a video that, following a complaint by Musa Gholsefn-Abadi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, he was summoned to the General and Revolutionary Prosecution Office of Bam.
🔸According to him, the title of this complaint was “disturbing public opinion through the publication of falsehoods.”
🔸This case was opened in connection with the publication of a video content and with a complaint by Musa Gholsefn-Abadi against Shaker Bouri.
🔸Shaker Bouri, a comedian living in Abadan, had previously also been detained due to his activities.
