❗Russia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered 4,361 candidates for the elections to the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, CEC Chairperson Ella Pamfilova said in her report on the electoral system’s readiness to the elections on the single voting day.

“A total of 4,361 candidates are registered in both single-member and multi-member constituencies. As many as 2,774 nominees are from ten political parties. A total of 1,587 candidates are registered in single-member constituencies, with 1,583 of them nominated by 11 parties, while four others are self-nominated,” Pamfilova said.
