Reuters reported that Tehran has sent a message to Washington that as long as the United States does not carry out an attack, the Islamic Republic will also stop its attacks. The report says that Tehran is not optimistic about the continuation of the pause in U.S. attacks and considers this hiatus a tactical move, not a sign of an end to the fighting.
The Islamic Republic also wants the Strait of Hormuz to be a priority in the negotiations, and only after that to discuss its frozen assets and its nuclear program.
Report by Amir Gayyati, a member of the Iran International editorial team.
