Reports said sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln were instructed not to speak to the media about the worsening conditions on the ship, when they arrived in Thailand after 286 days at sea.

Despite this restriction, the sailors spoke informally about their living conditions, while Captain Dan Kilner confirmed a lack of fresh food and essential supplies, but rejected claims that the conditions were as dire as reported.
