Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a phone call with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, stressed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the people of this country.

In a message on the social media platform X, he, while referring to the current sensitive conditions, emphasized the “need for restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to preserve regional peace.”

The prime minister of Pakistan, while expressing gratitude for Qatar’s unwavering support in the process of reaching the “Islamabad Understanding” (MoU), described these efforts as a vital step toward reducing tensions. He also, by referring to Qatar’s mediation role, emphasized the two countries’ shared commitment to advancing stability, security, and prosperity in the region. The call took place as regional diplomatic efforts to manage the crisis and prevent the escalation of fighting remain in focus.
