🔻Mohsen Hakim, the head of the VAR working group of the Football Federation, in a conversation with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Broadcasting, while confirming the remarks by Khodadad Azizi about the use of incomplete VAR in Premier League matches, said: “We are currently in talks to resolve the problem. For now, we draw the offside line using a combination of two device models.”
🔹He said: “The main device is EVS, but we use the Chinese VAR device to draw the offside line. This happens for some matches, including the derby between Esteghlal and Persepolis, the Esteghlal Khuzestan match, and Tractor. In general, 70 percent of the matches in the past 7 weeks were held with the offside line and without any problem.”
🔹Hakim cited lack of budget as the reason why the offside-line license of the German VAR system had not been purchased, saying: “We are looking into it. After all, every tool has a price. We tried to prevent currency from leaving the country. But the problem will be resolved, and starting from the new week of the Premier League, all matches will be held with the offside line.”
