Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, called the Houthis Iran’s proxy forces and said Washington is closely monitoring the group’s moves and the role of the Islamic Republic in regional activities.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministries of the United Arab Emirates and Syria strongly condemned the Houthis’ attacks on Saudi Arabia and described them as an explicit violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
