🔶 Mahan suspends international flights to Turkey and Oman until further notice
Mahan Airlines has suspended international flights on routes to Turkey and Oman until further notice.
According to a notice published by Mahan, the airline’s flights on the Tehran–Muscat route starting on 26 Shahrivar (17 September), and flights on the Tehran–Istanbul and Tehran–Ankara routes starting on 30 Shahrivar (21 September), will be canceled.
Previously, an informed source told EAsr Iran that the Georgian government would ban the entry of flights by Iranian airlines to this country from next week.
According to the informed source, "By joining the new US sanctions, the Georgian government has decided to stop all flights of Iranian companies to this country".
The US Treasury Department recently announced that it has imposed sanctions on Iranian airlines that had previously not been included on the sanctions list. This sanctions package covers 27 Iranian airlines and a network of intermediary companies, as well as companies providing support and air services in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan.
