🔻Mahan Airlines announced in two separate notices that the company’s flights on the Tehran–Muscat route, as well as flights from Iran to Turkey, including Istanbul and Ankara, and vice versa, will be canceled.

According to the notice related to Oman, Mahan’s Tehran–Muscat–Tehran flights will be canceled from September 17, 2026 until further notice.

In another notice, Mahan said that its flights to Turkey will be canceled from September 21, 2026 until further notice. The last Mahan flights on the Tehran–Istanbul, Tehran–Ankara and back routes will take place on September 20.

In both notices, Mahan said that this decision was made based on announcements by the “relevant aviation authorities” of Oman and Turkey.

The cancellation of these flights is being announced while the United States, in recent weeks, has intensified sanctions against Iran’s aviation sector and the support networks of Mahan Airlines. Since 2011, Mahan has been under U.S. sanctions for alleged support for the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
