🏐 Pietza: The third week is sensitive and tough

🎤 Iran’s national volleyball team head coach, on the eve of the start of the third week of #Volleyball_Nations_League, said:

🟢 Overall, the third week is tough, but for Iran it’s good because we can prove that we are at the same level as the best teams in the world. This camp is really pleasant. Because we are genuinely focused on our performance and begin to understand how we played in the first week and how we improved.

🟢 How we played in the second week against some of the top teams in the world such as France, the United States, and Japan, as well as Cuba. Focusing on these things is really important for the confidence of the Iran team. We have to believe that it’s possible. This is where we start to believe that what they had previously asked of them? Is now in our hands. And for me, this is the most important thing.

🟢 I can say that a sensitive point is, as always, the first match against Ukraine. I’m sure they want revenge for the previous season when we played in Brazil. Another point is that the match against Ukraine will be Iran’s first match of the third week, and they will be fully and 100% ready. Like Iran, because we recovered all our injuries. We recovered everything, and they also recovered their injuries and everything. So it will be a tough match.

🟢 Maybe the second match will be even harder, because Germany has held amazing competitions, and then we play against Slovenia and Turkey, which are really good teams. Overall, it’s a good and tough week. But it’s good for us as well, because we can prove ourselves against them, just as we did against Japan and France. We also proved it against the United States that we are at the same level. But it shouldn’t be forgotten that it’s only two points that make the difference.
