🔻Iran’s Consulate General in Dubai says 10 Iranian fishermen have been released and have left this port for Bandar Abbas.

An Iranian foreign ministry office in Hormozgan province announced on September 6 that the United Arab Emirates prevented the departure of these fishermen at the last moment.

According to this office, return tickets for the detained fishermen from the UAE to Bandar Abbas were issued, and all coordination between Iranian and UAE officials for their return had been carried out; however, at the last moment, the UAE side prevented their departure “without providing a reasonable reason.”

The news that these fishermen had gone missing was published in late Mordad.

In a report at the time, IRIB said that unwanted entry into the territorial waters of neighboring countries is not uncommon, but wartime conditions have increased “concerns.”
