A company in Tabriz, with visits and apparent backing from officials—including Ghaichi’s presence—was presented to people as reputable. They presented its CEO with a certificate of appreciation, and that made thousands of drivers, with hope for the future, invest their capital and lives in this path.

But what happened today? Fraud, uncertainty, and the destruction of the lives of 8,000 drivers and their families.

Today, the drivers’ voices have risen in Tehran: Ghaichi, give us our right back. We got into this matter based on the trust that was created in society. Who is responsible for all this oppression, loss, and destruction?

We just want what is ours. No promises, no silence, no forgetting.
