🔺Human Rights Watch: At least 59 political prisoners were executed in Iran in less than six months
▪Human Rights Watch, in a report titled “The continued campaign of unlawful executions of protesters in Iran,” said that at least 59 political prisoners were executed in less than six months.
▪In the report, prepared in cooperation with the Boromand Foundation, it states: “The judicial system of the Islamic Republic carried out these executions from 27 Esfand 1404 to 9 Shahrivar 1405, and at least 29 of those executed had been detained in connection with the protests of Dey.”
▪Based on this report, the cases of three of those executed were related to the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests, and several of those executed were 18 or 19 years old, while five were executed in public to create greater fear in society.
