The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Monday, September 7 (16 Shahrivar), that its forces, in the full implementation of the maritime blockade against Iran, have so far diverted the “route of 94 commercial ships” in regional waters.
Based on information released by CENTCOM, up to September 7, in addition to diverting these vessels’ routes, U.S. forces have also stopped the propulsion systems of three ships and boarded two other ships for inspection.
The U.S. Defense Command has said that these actions were taken with the aim of ensuring compliance with the maritime blockade regulations.
Meanwhile, CENTCOM, by publishing an image of an E/A-18G fighter taking off from the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), confirmed that the carrier strike group is conducting nighttime flight operations to support this mission.
