🔶 CENTCOM: Iran’s maritime blockade continues; we turned back 12 ships
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early on Sunday, 4 Mordad (26 July) on the social media platform X that the U.S. maritime blockade against Iran remains fully in place and effective.
Based on data published by CENTCOM up to Friday, 25 July, American forces diverted the routes of 12 commercial ships attempting to break the blockade, disabled two ships that refused to cooperate, and boarded two ships to ensure full compliance with the blockade.
CENTCOM also stated that on Saturday, 25 July, American forces concluded an operation to board and conduct verification inspections of the oil tanker “M/T Charminar” flying the flag of Comoros in the Arabian Sea, and the tanker is now continuing its voyage.
CENTCOM also reported that it had stopped another oil tanker that tried to violate Iran’s maritime blockade.
