🔶 CENTCOM: Destroying 140 military targets in the third round of U.S. strikes on Iran
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on July 11, 20 Tir, that it had successfully concluded its third round of strikes this week against positions in Iran, and that the action was carried out to hold Iranian forces accountable for an attack on another commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a CENTCOM statement, U.S. forces used precisely guided munitions launched via fighter jets from land bases and aircraft carriers, as well as drones and warships, hitting roughly 140 military targets in Iran. These targets included missile and drone sites, naval force facilities, ammunition depots, communications networks, and Iran’s coastal surveillance stations.
Over three nights of attacks during the current week, CENTCOM, at the order of Donald Trump, the U.S. president, targeted more than 300 locations in order to weaken Iran’s ability to attack non-military mariners and commercial ships that are freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
