⏺CENTCOM announced the end of operations in Iran

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that at 9:00 p.m. on July 23 (Eastern U.S. time) [4:30 a.m. Tehran time], it successfully brought to an end the 13th consecutive night of attacks targeting Iran.

CENTCOM targeted Iran’s military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites, and naval capabilities in order to further reduce the threat posed by Iran to non-military seafarers and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Despite recent attacks by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, this international waterway remains open for passage and travel.

Commercial ships, with U.S. military support, continue to transit the strait freely.

At present, more than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are operating across the Middle East.
