After news of an attack on a liquefied natural gas-carrying ship near the Strait of Hormuz was released, the European natural gas index rose by more than 4.5% and reached 46 euros, equivalent to about $52.5, per megawatt-hour. Brent oil prices also increased by 1.2% to around $73 per barrel, the highest level in the past week.
