A group of Social Security pensioners in Kermanshah, on Sunday, 4 Mordad 1405, held a gathering in front of the General Office of Social Security in the city to protest against rising costs of living, inflation, high prices, the state of healthcare, and the officials’ neglect of their demands. The protesters, chanting slogans against poverty, corruption, high prices, and war-mongering, emphasized their right to decent living, free treatment, and a life with welfare and dignity. They also announced their support for imprisoned workers and teachers and demanded their release. In another part of the gathering, the pensioners chanted slogans in opposition to the death penalty, expressed support for those sentenced to death, and called for the halt of the execution of these verdicts.
