A group of retired telecom workers in Kermanshah, Kurdistan, and Isfahan provinces, in continuation of weekly gatherings in recent years, also staged a protest on Monday.

The protesters are objecting to the performance of Iran’s Telecommunications Company and its major shareholders, including the Executive Headquarters of Imam Khomeini and the Iran Electronic Development Cooperative Company, affiliated with the Sepah Cooperation Foundation.

These gatherings have been held weekly since 1402 (Iranian calendar year) under the title “Protest Mondays” in different provinces across the country.

One of the demands of the retirees is the full implementation of the executive bylaw from 1389.

The protesters say that this bylaw should have been implemented, from the time of privatization and without exception, for all employees, retirees, and conscripted personnel, but it has not been fully carried out.
