🎥 Tefur Salimi Babamiri, a former political prisoner and one of those detained in the uprising “Women, Life, Freedom,” who had previously been sentenced to death, announced in a video that he is hospitalized in one of the hospitals in France and said that he is undergoing surgery to treat injuries that, according to him, he sustained during detention and under torture. Tefur Salimi Babamiri was arrested in Esfand 1401 by security agencies. Facing a death sentence in connection with his case, he was held for more than four months in detention facilities of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry in Baneh, Sanandaj, Bokan, and Urmia, where he was subjected to interrogation and torture. In a video he released from inside one of the hospitals in France, Salimi Babamiri said: “I am a political prisoner. Four years ago, on such days, when I was arrested, I suffered a fracture in my left hand, and my teeth, my eyes, and my ears were also severely damaged.” He also referred to the course of his treatment and added: “Today my left hand is going to be operated on in one of the hospitals in France. In fact, two surgeries will be carried out: removing fragments of bone, repairing the torn tendons, and removing a cartilaginous tumor that has formed under my armpit.”
