🔶 Azerbaijan summoned Russia’s ambassador following an attack on SOCAR company facilities in Ukraine The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, July 6, summoned Mikhail Yudokimov, Russia’s ambassador, to announce Baku’s strong protest over the drone attack on a warehouse and a SOCAR fuel center in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine. According to Azernews, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that officials of the country, during this meeting, expressed their severe dissatisfaction with the attack from the previous day and delivered an official note of diplomatic protest to the Russian side. The ministry emphasized that this attack was not a separate, isolated incident. According to Baku, SOCAR facilities in Ukraine had also been targeted earlier during the war, including a gas distribution compressor station and an oil storage facility in Odesa, as a result of which significant material damage was caused and several company employees were injured. Azerbaijan announced that the recurrence of such incidents, despite repeated warnings, shows that these attacks were carried out intentionally.
