Based on shipping data from LSEG, a fleet of 10 ships associated with Japan is leaving the Strait of Hormuz on Monday. According to these data, the fleet includes six giant tankers carrying about 12 million barrels of Middle East crude oil, two chemical tankers, one car carrier, and one container ship. This transit is taking place while Japan, as one of the major energy importers from the Middle East, had previously announced that dozens of ships associated with this country were waiting to pass through after the war and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
