🔶 Zelensky: Russia attacked energy infrastructure in Sumy and Odesa
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, reported attacks by Russian missiles and drones on this country’s energy infrastructure in the regions of Sumy and Odesa.
Zelensky, referring to the fact that the attack took place on the night of Wednesday, September 16, wrote in a message on the X network: “Once again, civilian infrastructure was targeted, and damage has been reported in eight regions.”
Zelensky added: “In Kyiv and Odesa, ordinary residential buildings were hit. More than 10 people, including several children, were injured. Some were hospitalized. Fires broke out in many complexes and areas.”
A Ukrainian official also told Reuters that on Thursday, following Russia’s daily drone attack, the sounds of explosions were heard a few kilometers from the border of Ukraine with Poland, which is a NATO member.
According to the country’s border guard, this attack caused no damage to border crossings.
