🔶 “Witkoff and Kushner, U.S. negotiators travel to Russia and Ukraine”

Reuters, citing Russia’s state-run TASS news agency, wrote that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the U.S. negotiators, will travel to Russia and Ukraine on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6 (September 14 and 15, Shahrivar).

TASS said on Friday, September 4, that it published this report based on an informed source.

No official confirmation has been provided yet, but according to a person familiar with the matter, talks about the American delegation’s trip to Ukraine are still ongoing. The source said Sunday has been considered as a possible date for the trip to Kyiv.

This will be the first trip by these two negotiators to Ukraine’s capital since the start of Russia’s invasion war in February 2022.

Informed sources added that Russia wants to prevent the trip to Kyiv and is trying to persuade U.S. representatives to change their plans.

Witkoff and Kushner were last in Moscow in January. At the time, they met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace for a four-hour, late-night discussion.
