📸 Water and Wastewater Company of Hormozgan CEO Says Drinking Water to 20 Villages Was Cut Off Following a U.S. Attack
Abdolhamid Hamzehpor, CEO of the Water and Wastewater Company of Hormozgan, said that the U.S. attack on desalination facilities in Benji village, in Jask County, has cut off drinking water for about 10,000 people across 20 villages.
According to Tasnim News Agency, he said that in this attack the pumping station for taking water from the sea and the power substation of the Benji desalination facility were “completely” destroyed.
Hamzehpor called these attacks “a crime” and “a terrorist act,” and said that the villages in the area are now facing a severe shortage of drinking water.
