🔺Trump arrives in Ankara with official welcome from Erdoğan ▪Donald Trump’s plane landed at Ankara Airport on Tuesday, where he was greeted by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the president of this country. ▪During this trip, the U.S. president is expected to take part in a leaders’ summit of NATO member countries. ▪Trump’s first stop is the Presidential Complex of Turkey. The two-day NATO summit is expected to focus on topics including the war against the Islamic Republic, Russia’s war in Ukraine, and an increase in the defense spending of European allies. ▪Shortly before Trump’s plane landed, the NATO alliance announced arms deals worth several billion dollars, in response to Trump’s request to increase NATO members’ costs for defending Europe.
