🔶"Several cargo ships were targeted in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman"

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) organization, in a security alert, announced that it has received reports that several cargo ships were targeted in the northern waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The organization, in a report published on Saturday, September 5 (14 Shahrivar), added: “During ongoing military activities in the region, these ships were targeted by fire with the aim of disabling the vessels.”

The alert follows the announcement of an attack by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on three Iranian oil tankers.

On Saturday, CENTCOM also stated that these attacks were carried out after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired at two American warships.
