🔶 Reaction of eight Islamic countries to Ben-Gvir’s plan to expel the people of Gaza

The foreign ministers of eight Islamic countries, in a joint statement, strongly condemned recent remarks and proposals by the defense and national security ministers of Israel about encouraging and facilitating the migration of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In the statement, the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, Indonesia, and Pakistan described the positions of Itamar Ben-Gvir, the Israeli national security minister, and Yoav Gallant, the Israeli defense minister, as “forced expulsion and a clear violation of international law and human rights.”

On Thursday, September 3 (12 Shahrivar), Itamar Ben-Gvir unveiled a plan to remove most of the population of Gaza under the title “voluntary migration,” and even proposed setting up a special ministry for this purpose.

The plan was raised one day after Yoav Gallant said that mass-migration plans from Gaza were still under review and had only been temporarily halted due to an order from Donald Trump, the U.S. president.
