Qatar’s Ministry of Interior announced that three people, including a child, were injured following the fall of shrapnel caused by the interception of missiles by the Islamic Republic.
The ministry said that rescue and security forces were immediately on the scene and transferred the injured to medical centers for treatment. It also said that limited damage was done to a residential building.
The Ministry of Interior of Qatar added that the competent authorities are still managing the aftermath of the incident and maintaining public security in accordance with the approved emergency plans.
In retaliation for the early Sunday morning attacks by the U.S. Central Command on about 140 military targets in Iran, the Islamic Republic launched missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman. Qatar and Oman are among the regional mediators in negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the United States.
