In response to recent attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and reports about nighttime attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, the adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates said the Islamic Republic has shown that it is “unable” to adhere to an agreement with the United States to end the war. Anwar Qaraqash wrote in a post on X that these attacks are clear evidence that the Islamic Republic still cannot meet the requirements for reducing tensions and ending the war. Qaraqash added that the Gulf Arab countries cannot remain a target of the Islamic Republic’s oscillation between escalating tensions and the path of rationality, stability, and peace.
