According to him, most of those injured in the U.S. attack on Kooheestak were “women and children,” and “with the discharge of the majority of the injured, 11 people are now hospitalized, including 5 in the ICU and 6 in treatment wards under care.”
According to the officials of the Hormozgan province’s relief services, in the two nights of U.S. attacks on Kooheestak, four people were killed, including a child, and more than 60 people were also injured.
The United States has denied attacks on civilians and said that its airstrikes on Tuesday night targeted facilities and bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
BBC Persian’s fact-checking section, by reviewing the geographical location of the wedding venue in Kooheestak Port, found that this location is at least 110 meters away from a communications tower that could have been the main target of the U.S. airstrike.
