🔶 Kurdish parties alliance condemns Islamic Republic attacks

The alliance of political forces of Iranian Kurdistan, made up of six parties, said in a statement that the repeated failures of negotiations between Tehran and Washington amount to what it called the “self-created political deadlock” of the Islamic Republic.

According to the alliance, the decline in public trust, the economic crisis, and the government’s inability to resolve problems through diplomacy have intensified this deadlock.

The Kurdish parties alliance accused the Islamic Republic of increasing assassinations and aerial and ground attacks against Kurdish parties in order to conceal its internal failures.

In a statement by Iranian Kurdish parties, these attacks were described as a “war crime,” and with reference to injuries sustained by a number of Peshmerga fighters, “the possibility of using white phosphorus” was raised in at least one of the attacks.

The alliance of political forces of Iranian Kurdistan said these actions show the government’s desperation and constitute a case of crimes against humanity, and, stressing the need for Kurdish unity and coordination, announced that “the Kurdish issue must be resolved politically, not militarily.”
