The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday, 30 Tir 1405 that two oil tankers that intended to transit the “southern route of the Strait of Hormuz” were, as a result of an explosion, engulfed in a widespread fire and had stopped. At the same time, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported that an oil tanker was damaged due to a hit from an “unknown projectile” and that its crew had been evacuated.
