⚡The price of the dollar in Iran’s free market reached 233,900 tomans as of the time this news was prepared, registering a fresh historical record.

Each British pound was traded at 316,000 tomans, the euro at 272,000 tomans, and the Imam coin at 242 million tomans.

The dollar was closed at 206,400 tomans two weeks ago on Saturday. Today’s figure is nearly 13% higher than that time.

The currency surge occurred alongside the intensification of military confrontation. The U.S. Central Command announced on Tuesday that it destroyed five Iranian oil tankers, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in response, claimed an attack on 20 vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent oil also crossed $100 per barrel today.
