🔻The Human Rights for Sport organization expressed concern over the issuance of a death sentence for Taraneh Rahimi, a 20-year-old rider and horse trainer from Isfahan province, by the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan. Taraneh Rahimi was arrested on 18 Dey 1404 during the Iranian National Revolution in Isfahan.
🔹Based on information published by the Hengaw human rights organization, Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan, on 9 Shahrivar 1405, in the initial stage, sentenced her to death.
🔹According to reports, the defense attorneys had not been given full access to the case file and sufficient time to review the evidence and prepare a defense.
🔹It has also been reported that a video exists in the case showing Taraneh Rahimi attempting to prevent the beating of a homeless person.
🔹As written by the Human Rights for Sport organization, Taraneh has a horse-training certificate from the Applied Science and Technology Education Center of the Equestrian Federation. She has worked in the fields of riding and horse training in Isfahan province.
