Abbas Iraqchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, in a post on X about Ukraine’s attack on a vessel in the Caspian Sea, wrote: “In calls with Kaja Kallas, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, and Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, I emphasized that the action of this opportunist based in Kyiv cannot go unanswered.”

Iraqchi went on to write that Zelensky’s action was carried out at Israel’s prompting so as to drag Europe into that war.
