👈 Germany will send four Eurofighter jets to Latvia to help protect the country’s airspace during next month’s parliamentary elections. The move comes as repeated drone incursions have been reported along NATO’s eastern flank.

Germany’s Ministry of Defense said the jets will be stationed at Lielvarde Air Base for about a week, from late September to early October. Latvia had previously submitted a request for further help from NATO before the October 3 elections.
