France 24, in a fact-check report, wrote that at the same time as the resumption of attacks by the United States and the Islamic Republic, old and unrelated videos on social media have been shared as images of new Tehran attacks on U.S. bases.

The outlet wrote that a video that was claimed to show a U.S. base in Jordan burning had originally been attributed to a drone attack in Dubai about six months earlier. Another video of the alleged attack on a U.S. base in Jordan was also linked to an alleged drone attack by Ukraine on an oil refinery in Russia last year.

France 24 also wrote that a video attributed to the Islamic Republic’s attack on the U.S. consulate in Kuwait is actually related to the explosion of a house during a police operation in the U.S. state of Virginia.

The outlet also reviewed a video attributed to the Islamic Republic’s mining of the sea in the Strait of Hormuz and wrote that the images are related to the U.S. “Vaho” underwater nuclear test in 1958 in the Pacific Ocean.

France 24 said that the spread of these misleading images has intensified after the latest round of attacks by the United States and the Islamic Republic.
