🔸Mahsa Amini’s death in Shahrivar 1401 sparked the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests. Now, amid a war with the United States and increased political and economic pressures, women’s resistance to mandatory hijab is more visible than ever in the streets and public places.

🔸In major cities, the presence of the Guidance Patrol in everyday life has been to a large extent diminished, and the enforcement of mandatory hijab rules has also clearly declined; though these regulations remain in place.

🔸It is unclear whether this situation signals a change in the Islamic Republic’s policy toward mandatory hijab, or a temporary retreat by the government to prevent the intensification of discontent under current conditions.
