🔻Football 360 reports that Amir Ghalenoei has requested a monthly salary of 15 billion tomans to sit on the national team bench until the Asian Cup championship: «Ghalenoei is complaining about the federation’s financial offer for a contract of around 30 billion tomans, without taking into account the bonus figure.»
🔹Given the offer of a six-month contract extension made to him, this figure would bring Ghalenoei’s total contract to 90 billion tomans.
🔹This salary is being discussed while Ghalenoei and his assistants over the past seven weeks have not even attended any of the top-level matches of Iranian football’s Premier League, let alone major matches.
🔹Football 360 has written that «Amir is upset that his financial offer has “for now” not been accepted by the Football Federation and that his contract has not been officially signed, and for that reason he has not been willing to follow Premier League matches in person at the stadiums.»
🔹Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has rejected reports about Ghalenoei’s 90-billion-toman request: «So far, Ghalenoei and officials of the federation have not held a meeting to determine the head coach’s salary and the members of the coaching staff until the end of the Asian Cup.»
