🔶 Flight warning over the Persian Gulf after U.S. attacks on Iran
U.S. attacks on southern Iran this time did not target only military sites. Local officials reported strikes hitting a wheat storage silo in Hoveizeh, a point in the Al-Sabah (Al آزادگان) plain, a mineral water factory in Ilam, and an environmental ranger post in Hormozgan—attacks that, alongside damage to infrastructure, have increased concerns about food security, people’s livelihoods, and the continued provision of public services in Iran’s southern provinces.
ولیالله حیاتی, deputy security and public order official of Khuzestan Province, said that in the U.S. attacks last night, "a wheat storage silo in Hoveizeh County and a point in the Al-Sabah (Al آزادگان) plain were hit by projectiles."
He added that these attacks "did not result in any casualties" and that assessments of the extent of the damage were ongoing.
In Ilam Province as well, the governor of Dehloran said that a mineral water production plant near the village of Nehr-e Anbar was targeted and stated that although there were no human casualties, the strike left financial damage, the amount of which has not yet been determined.
The targeting of a wheat storage silo in Hoveizeh occurred while many southern provinces, alongside the ongoing fighting, are facing power outages, livelihood problems, and concerns about the supply of essential goods—an issue that has made the consequences of the war more visible in people’s everyday lives than before.
