Fatemeh Moghajerani, the government spokesperson, announced that the price of gasoline with fuel station cards will increase from early Tuesday, the 17th of Shahrivar, to 10,000 tomans.
Moghajerani, in a video message, said the price of gasoline with a station card, which is currently 5,000 tomans, will reach 10,000 tomans starting the 17th of Shahrivar. She added that different figures for this rate had been discussed in expert meetings, but considering the president’s promise to the people, the final rate was set at 10,000 tomans.
According to the government spokesperson, the 60-liter ration of gasoline at a rate of 1,500 tomans and the 50 liters at a rate of 3,000 tomans will remain unchanged.
Moghajerani also said that the revenue from the increase in the price of gasoline with fuel station cards will be used for “people’s livelihoods.”
