🔶 Eight killed in Israeli attack on funeral ceremony in Gaza

According to Palestinian health officials, in an Israeli airstrike on Friday, July 17 (26 Tir), against a group of mourners in Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip, at least eight people were killed and 20 others were injured.

According to reports, the mourners were attending the funeral of a person who had been killed in an earlier attack that same day. The Islamist extremist group Hamas described the attack as “a savage massacre” and condemned it.

The Israeli army also said it targeted a “terror cell affiliated with the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad” in the central Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army, stating that it is aware of reports indicating that civilians were harmed in the attack, also said that the strike is under review. Videos posted on the social media platform X show bloodied bodies of the victims lying in the street.
