🔶 Deputy Iraqchi: Downplaying the importance of lifting sanctions poses serious dangers
Hamid Kanbari, deputy to Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, described downplaying the importance of lifting sanctions as “serious dangers.”
According to Eghtesad News, he said at the conference “Iran’s Economic Outlook for 1405” on Monday, 29 Tir, that another serious danger is “mistaking short-term solutions for long-term answers,” and added: “If an understanding is not reached and sanctions are not lifted, one might be able to survive, but living is a different matter.”
This deputy in Iran’s economic diplomacy division further said: “Under sanctions, you cannot expect sustained economic growth, the establishment of new factories, and the provision of industries’ needs.”
Kanbari, emphasizing the importance of active banking relations with other countries and referring to a report by one of the young diplomats sent to one of Iran’s main trading partners, said: “After discussions with Iranian economic activists residing in that country, this diplomat reported that as long as Iran does not have banking relations and an active banking network there, Iran’s name in that country’s market will gradually be forgotten.”
