◾ While, in the days leading up to the funeral procession of Ali Khamenei, the slain leader of the Islamic Republic, in the two cities of Najaf and Karbala, there was ambiguity regarding the Iraqi government’s official position, a group named “Committee for the Holding of Ali Khamenei’s Funeral Ceremony,” affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office of Iraq, on Friday, 19 Tir, issued a statement and reported “success” in holding this ceremony.
