🔻The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization has announced that a vessel, while anchored 24 nautical miles northwest of Ras Al Khaimah port in the United Arab Emirates, tilted in a way that is likely indicative of water entering the vessel.
Previously, it had been reported that the vessel had been targeted.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization says the incident was reported by a third party.
Another British maritime body that monitors shipping has also reported that several vessels in the Persian Gulf region suffered fires.
The report comes after Iran announced that it attacked 20 ships that were attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The British body said: “Reports indicate that these vessels were targeted amid ongoing military activities in the region.”
