🔶 Baghai called the U.S. attack on a wedding ceremony in Koehtestak a “crime”

Ismail Baghai, the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called the United States’ attack on a residential house in Koehtestak Port, Sirc County, a “crime,” and said that a wedding ceremony was taking place in the house at the time of the attack.

Baghai said more than 50 women, men, and children were killed or injured in the attack. He described the incident as a continuation of the United States’ previous attacks on Minab, Larestan, Qeshm, and other parts of Iran.

The foreign ministry spokesperson accused governments and international institutions of remaining silent in the face of these U.S. attacks and warned that normalizing bombardment and justifying attacks would lead to further violence.

Baghai emphasized that Iran would respond “decisively” to these attacks, and that countries and organizations that do not condemn them may face consequences of this silence in the future.

Baghai did not elaborate further on these consequences.

According to reports by Iranian media, four people died after shrapnel from a missile struck a house in the city of Koehtestak; the house where a wedding ceremony was being held. Four people were killed and more than 50 people were injured.
